The primary purpose of NoisyStreets.com is to expose the truth of God as made known by both the Bible and God's creation. Truth can be found in psychology, literature, genetics, astronomy, art, and more. We seek to expose this truth by publishing articles and blogs discussing various subjects. Most but not all of the articles reference the Bible, the ultimate authority on Truth apart from God Himself. Blogs are contributed by you, the community, and so each blog author is entitled to reference the Bible, or not. To complement the articles and blogs, we provide a discussion forum where members can discuss articles or create their own discussion threads about any topic they desire, as long as it pertains to the overall theme of the site. Tertiary to this is the social networking aspect of NoisyStreets.com. e.g. private messaging, friends, groups, wall comments, etc. Ideally, we desire that consistent visitors of the site will get to know each other on some level through these community-oriented features.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. On the 6th day of creation, God made man. Some time after the first man was created, man disobeyed God thus introducing all of mankind to sin and death. Since that time, mankind has continued to disobey God even while He reaches out to us. Two thousand years ago, a man named Paul wrote "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." (Romans 1:20 NIV) and "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV) We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is infallible. We believe that everything else in known creation is fallible, particularly mankind. At the same time though, as Paul has pointed out, God reveals Himself through more than just the Bible. The United States' Declaration of Independence, for instance, refers to God's invisible qualities when it states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." The key words here are "truths", "self-evident" and "Creator" (with a capital "C"). The goal of this web site is to expose these self-evident truths and link them to the Creator, the author of the Bible. In the Bible, these truths are often referred to as "wisdom". The Bible clearly states that true wisdom comes only from God. Below are several passages from the Bible relating to wisdom and the purpose of NoisyStreets.com.


Job 28:28 (NIV)
And he said to man, 'The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.'

Matthew 11:18-19 (NIV)
[Jesus said,] "For John [the Baptist] came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners."' But wisdom is proved right by her actions."

1 Corinthians 1:25 (NIV)
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"
