"If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always."

Isaiah 58:9-11 (NIV)
About NoisyStreets.com PDF Print

We all have a story to tell, whether it be ours or someone else's. Most of us who call ourselves followers of God have not become who we are due to an analytical reasoning process. It is because God has reached into our lives. Some of us were born into God fearing homes. Others encountered God much later in life, often in supernatural life-altering ways. Once we stopped living for ourselves and started living for God, our old life ended and a new one began. The new life, for many of us, contains many adventures. This web site is a place to share about those adventures, to share how God and His people have helped us and how we in turn are helping others. Some of these stories are prettier than others but the hope is that by sharing we can strengthen each other.

In addition to sharing the details of our life's journey, this site is a good place to pass along the lessons we have learned in the process.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NIV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Psalm 145:21 NIV
My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD.
Let every creature praise his holy name
for ever and ever.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NIV
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Psalm 35:27-28 NIV
May those who delight in my vindication
shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, "The LORD be exalted,
who delights in the well-being of his servant."

My tongue will speak of your righteousness
and of your praises all day long.
